Thanks for your post. I simply downloaded SP2 two days ago, and since then Explorer was encountering an error and had to close upon starting my computer.. I can open Control Panel, but Add/Remove Programs option will not open unless I run in safe mode. When I booted again I decided to see what effect my actions had on add/remove programs and guess what, It worked without hesitation. check over here

I installed AbsoluteUninstaller and it will do for what I need. So I am having this problem with the add/remove programs as well, but when I go to do this, my command box won't even come up :( what do I do?! I rebooted and tried to update again. I've been pulling my hair out over this issue. his comment is here Microsoft q266668 is lengthy process.
